Mamma Mia! Austin Theatre reviews
Mama Mia was 1/2 good
Was disappointed at first because of the sound system. Not real loud. The second half was much better. Someone must have fixed the sound. Some of the actors in the first half were faint. When the complete group sang, it was great. I saw Mama Mia in Cleveland, Ohio several years ago and the audience was much more active (made you want to dance) Most of the songs were good in the recent program but I felt that the songs were too slow. I believe that the Cleveland Show the songs were sung at a faster pace and more lively. In the Charlottesville Show the lady who played the mother was fantastic.
I really liked the show in Charlottesville, but I am just comparing them both.
